Warm Up

Give me your Notebooks so that I can check them.

Grab a seat and get out either a pencil or a pen. We will be taking our Chapter 2.2 quiz this morning.

After everyone has completed it (thirty minutes tops), we will then pass them out again and you will grade them as we review.

New Material

After students complete the Quiz and before we review and grade them, they can begin working on their Book Notes for Chapter 2.3, Manifest Destiny and Crisis.

Students will take a Quiz

Students need a minimum of 50 points to pass the quiz. Those that have not acheived that, will come to a review session the next morning and have an opportunity to take another version of the quiz.

Closure and Reflection

Students will discuss what difficulties they experienced in taking this quiz. If there are any questions that are not answered to their satisfaction, or if I feel that they could use some extra help, I will be available before school, after school, or during lunch for additional tutoring.

I will remind students whose scores were below 50 points that the review session for the Make Up Quiz begins at 8AM the next day.

Tomorrow we will begin working on the next section, so make sure you start your vovcab and booknotes. You should also pick another section for your next essay.
